You will need a Dutch oven for these delicious potatoes, the amounts will vary depending on the size of your Dutch oven.

Chop up the bacon and add it to your warm dutch oven. Start slicing the potatoes and onions. Once the bacon is done spoon it out leaving the grease at the bottom. Start layering the potatoes and onions. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Last add the bacon and cheese and repeat the layers. Cook for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
